Pemberton, BC . Canada .

Pemberton is the unexpected jewel of the Coast Mountains . The community is just a 25-minute drive north of Whistler and serves as a gateway to adventure.

Located at the foot of majestic Mount Currie , Pemberton’s back yard includes vast tracts of backcountry. As a result, Pemberton is a recreational paradise and hosts a variety of wilderness-inspired activities.

Pemberton is one of B.C.’s oldest communities and has maintained a friendly atmosphere and rural flavor. Since the early 1900’s, visitors and residents have been falling in love with the Village of Pemberton .

Between 2001 and 2006, Pemberton was the fastest growing municipality in British Columbia . According to the 2006 Statistics Canada census, the town grew by 33.5 per cent. Pemberton’s population spiked from 1,642 to 2,192 in five years.

Pemberton is also a growing hub for organic produce with farmers growing a variety of vegetables and berries. Much of the produce is in high demand among fine-dining restaurants based in Vancouver .

Today, expansion continues in all sectors – housing, commercial and industrial. Pemberton has some of the best recreational activities that B.C. has to offer, and is a spectacular setting. Designated a “Gateway Community” to the backcountry, Pemberton is also recognized as a Superhost Community.

Pemberton is located 25 minutes north of Whistler on the Sea to Sky highway.
