With the flurry of activity and rising Whistler real estate prices, it is hard to determine where the opportunities lie. From my recent experience working with hundreds of buyers, my call is: buy a lot in a special location and build a contemporary home, with walk-out access to well-planned outdoor living space. Luckily, developers have taken note and we are in the midst of several new building lot developments being announced in and around Whistler. Take a look at the opportunities below, get ahead of the crowd, and let me know if you want to be on the list for any of the upcoming developments:
Wedgewood Phase 2
Just a 12 minute drive North of Whistler Village lies the Wedgewoods development. This cluster of large (over 1 acre) parcels of land, provides an opportunity to build over 4,000 square feet in private estate lots with spectacular mountain views, including Wedge mountain and more. Close to some of Whistler’s best mountain bike trails.
Phase 2 prices have yet to be disclosed, but Phase 1 parcels (between 1.11 and 1.8 acres) sold between $400,000 and $530,000.
The Ridge at Pemberton
This new development of 47 sunny hillside lots is located 5 minutes north of the Village of Pemberton. These hillside lots will provide stunning views of Mt. Currie and endless sun and are located near the Pemberton Music Festival grounds.
Prices have yet to be disclosed but will be in the $250,000-$375,000 range for large, ½ acre size lots.
Tiyata Phase 3 and 4
This 22-acre Smart Growth community offers small, affordable building lots right in the heart of the Village of Pemberton, just 25 minutes from Whistler.
Prices for Phase 3 and 4 have yet to be disclosed but Phase 1 and 2 lots started at $124,990.
